OK, looking a bit into the future, I see the day coming when its time to change computers again. Right now, I use a first generation iBook, and I'll have to decide between another iBook, or some manner of PDa and a desktop Mac of some manner, so I'm asking for suggestions on what'll cover my needs, and here they are:
Offline email/news program-- On a portable, it just seems right to take it all with you rather than connecting when you need it.
Muck client-- Yes, I like mucks, and require access to them when I'm connected, whereever I be.
Browser-- I have a number of sites I like to check at least once a day, so getting onto the world wide wait... I mean web is important.
ICQ-- My prefered method of staying in touch with friends on or off the road.
Throw in a notpad, text and a text editor, and most of my computer needs are covered. Wireless access to the net would be a plus, but not necessary, so long as I can get a quick modem or network connection with it. After seeing a Mac emulator for Windows, I'm wondering if I might be able to set up a Windows tablet to emulate a Mac successfully for travel, any thoughts on this or any ideas what would be my best choice?
