Anyone here using AvantGo? I have tried several times today to download the AvantGo 4.0 software to sync with my (new) Handspring.

I'm using Explorer 5.0 on Earthlink, on a iMac DV400 (summer 2000) running Mac OS9.1. When I click on the download button to get the AvantGo .hqx file, I get a message saying "The specified server could not be found."

Any ideas on whether this is related to my browser setup, or to their site?

i dont use a mac to sync my palmpilot w/ avantgo, but that sounds like a "their server" problem. dont give up, try back in a few hours or email them and tell em to fix the damned problem. avantgo is great.

Interestingly enough, I was able to download the client using AOL 5.x (I'm in the midst of transitioning from AOL to Earthlink). I checked my preferences on Explorer to see if something was preventing the download, but I wasn't able to figure anything out.

I wondered if it might be the .hqx format. I haven't had trouble with other formats, as far as I'm aware.

I d-loading does not work, you can get a cd for free over at Comp USA, I am not sure what version of avant go is on the CD.

Got AvantGo 4.0 up and running like a charm. It's a great service!

Definitely sounds like a server issue on their end.

I downloaded/installed avantgo last week with no problem.
I'm running it on a Sony Clie n710c that I'm syncing with my G4 Powerbook.
It really is a great feature.
