Anybody been able to sync a Clie with Now Up to Date/Contact? I'm looking to buy a Clie but I much prefer working with the Now software. Can it be done with the Missing Sync drivers? Anybody do it in OS X?

I haven't used Now Up To Date...but the new SONY T615C works with the OSX Beta Palm Destop flawlessly without the need for any third party software. That is, you don't need The Missing Sync anymore.

Funny, I just got my 615 the other day and was under the impression that I needed "Mac missing sync". To my surprise, if you go to www.palm.com you can download a mac version of the palm desktop. It work sgreat on my pismo 400 running 9.1 and it syncs datebooks, vindigo - everything. Try it out before sinking the money into 3rd party software.

I know the Palm Desktop Beta works with most Clies. But since I already own and use Now Contact & Up to Date with my Palm V, I'd really prefer to make the Clie work with that. I'm dying to know if anybody's done it.

I just purchased my Clie 615 about 3 weeks ago and I have been trying to get it to work with anything else but the Palm Desktop. It works with Palm Desktop X Beta without any major problems. The only real problem is the Palm Beta X : )

I haven't been able to get it to work with Entourage X (with new 3rd party conduits), Now Up to Date (with beta drivers), Organizer (with their conduits).

I am just looking to get rid of Palm Desktop (I hate the fact that it is so unreliable) and I would like to get something else working as well. I would actually like to get it to work with Entourage the most because I paid so much for the Office Suite.

I love owning the Clie 615, the other applications like Splash Shopper and iSiloX work great in X and sync every time.

As soon as I have good results with NUTD, I will post them.

Thanks. I'll look forward to hearing. By the way what are Splash Chopper & iSiloX?

iSiloX is a document reader that works in OS X and you create / translate files that can be read in PalmOS. You can also use it like the AvantGo program and download web pages for off line viewing. I did Apple.com just to see what would happen and it looked cool on my Clie in high resolution.

Here is a link http://www.isilox.com

Splash Shopper is an all around database that you can use for shopping. It's separated out for what you own and what you would plan to buy. The great thing is that it works well, and they made the OS X desktop version to sync with the PalmOS.

Here is a link http://www.splashdata.com/

It seems to be the standard clause these days but...
I am not tied to either of these companies. I just love to support any company that goes out of their way to support OS X.

I hope that you like them

I've been syncing my Clie 610 with NUTD/Contact since I got it last fall. Initially, I had to boot into OS 9, but since OS 10.1, it works fine in Classic.

From what I've read, however, getting the N760 to sync under OS X or Classic is problematic. Eventually, Mark/Space's The Missing Sync should allow most Clie models to sync under OS X, provided that vendors release OS X-compatible conduits. To date, not all (Dataviz, for example) have announced that they'll do that.

Good to know. Could you tell me what conduits you've got in there? For instance (I'm looking at a Clie T615), would I have the NUTD/C conduits, the Missing Sync drivers (or are they conduits?) & any and all 3rd party stuff like Vindidgo & Avant Go? And would it work?
Thanks.

Pretty much any conduit that works under OS 9 should work under Classic. I use Documents to Go, NUTD/Contact, and Confidential. I wouldn't mind syncing under Classic if it didn't take so long to launch Classic every time.
