I'm screwed...my Palm, which I haven't used for a while, died and lost its data. I've got old Palm Desktop files from my PC that I could use to restore it; the problem being that I now have a Mac.

Any idea what I can do with the address.dat, todo.dat, etc. files that I have from my PC to get them into Palm Desktop? The Import utility doesn't show those files when I try to browse for files to import.

I think that the Windows Palm Desktop saves it's files in a completely different format than the Mac desktop. You could try to mess around with creator codes to make Palm Desktop see the files. You could also try the Merge command instead of Import.

probably the easiest fix: borrow a buddy's PC long enough to either sync your Palm or export the files and import them into the Mac desktop.
