For some reason my Palm VIIx won't sync properly. I press the button, Conduit Manager (the application which shows the HotSync status) starts and I get the beeps, but then either at "Indentifying User" or "Determining Handheld Configuration" (depends on the sync) Conduit Manager suddenly quits. No kind of error code. The Palm, of course, reports that the HotSync was interrupted.

The log shows nothing, even with Show More Details in Log turned on.

I've tried clean installing the system, reinstalling Palm Desktop, and hard resetting the Palm. Nothing works.

Thanks in advance for any help.
