So everybody's been getting those hype emails from Palm recently saying they're coming out with the new product. I know they need to help sales desperately, but what, really, could be new/different/good about it?

(The major problem in the PDA industry as I see it is that nobody really needs theirs to do more than a regular old monochrome Palm III can do -Vindigo is a must have if you're in a supported city, but if you're not...)

Are we just expecting the palm version of the Treo phone-pda combo? or what?

Thoughts?

I think it is just a new treo / competitor, a revised Palm VII. If they really want to make $$ and increase their brand recognition, they should have them reasonably priced. I think they could make a descent profit if they price it at $100 with service, $150 without service.
At least at the Asylum, they treat me with respect.
