a friend of mine gave me his newton 120 because his brother is getting him a new one. when I got it, it wouldn't turn, but it would before I got it. new batteries in it except the backup (flat round battery). tried to do a hard reset, but it still won't turn on. any hints on how to get it to work? can't find an dc adapter to plug into it. all the ones I have are too large or too small.

In the battery compartment, take out all the batteries, press the reset button a few times, wait about an hour or two, replace the batts. and try the reset button and/or the power switch. HTH!

Hmmm, try this... flex the newt. while holding the bottom and the top. Otherwise you got a loose wire connection at where the wires lead up to the MLB. Maybe Dr.Newton can help.
