Hello. Cliesource.com is now up. It's a site dedicated to everything related to the Sony Clié PDAs. The site is also the only distributor of Brando Screen Protectors in the US (for Clié models).

The site is forum based. It has a lightly populated Clié-Mac area and a still empty Mac Connectivity FAQ area. We invite you to drop by.

Thank you. We hope to see you there.

sean, sorry for that.

ben, you can head on over to www.markspace.com. They sell The Missing Sync which allows any Sony PDA to sync with a Mac in OS 9.2.2. I have a 760 which works very well with the iBook and the iMac.

Just got a new Clie N760C yesterday, and the booklet says "not compatible with Mac OS." Why is this, since the Palm OS 4.1 is the same that comes with new Palms, and it comes with a USB hotsync cradle?

Anyway, since I've been using a Palm vX, and already have the Mac version of Palm desktop on my Pismo 500, I simply synced via infrared port, and everything synced without any problems at all. Couldn't Sony simply include Mac software on their CD?

BTW, this Clie simply blows anything made by Palm or Handspring clean out of the water! The screen is magnificent, with 320x320 pixels (vs. 160x160?), the backlight could double as a flashlight (I could barely see the backlight was even on with the new Palm 505 color PDA), and the included extras on the CD are great (I just have to use Virtual PC to sync with it to use these items)!

Except for Sony seemingly intentionally screwing Apple with these, I'm very impressed!

Hotsync via USB cradle still does not work in OS X.1.2 even in Classic Mode. Palm still has to release the OS X native Palm Desktop.
