I have a palm xv which crashed earlier today. No problem. Everything is backed up.

Ive hot synct my palm and now whats happened is the point where I tap is out of alignment with where the palm registers the tap. What this means is that I can not actually tap to get to "set up" where I would actually re-align the tapping point on my palm.

When I reset my palm and it has no data in it, there is no problem. The alignment is fine but each time i re-instal all my data via a hotsync, the problem is there again.

Is there any way I may go about fixing this?

Any suggestions would be well appreciated.

Thanks in advance

This is only a guess, b/c I am not sure what you mean by you can't get to setup.

1. Reinstall the backed-up software.
2. Press the little reset button on your Palm (this should not delete your data, but should reset the device and take you through the setup.

If this does not work, then I don't know what to tell you. I do hope this works though.

O

Thanks for the tip.

Well, I contacted palm and there was a fix. The problem is called "Mad Digitizer Syndrome" (im not making this up!!!)

You can read about it and find the fix at: http://www.palmgear.com/ -- and the do a search for "digifix"
