Has anyone got this to work?

I can't and am having trouble figuring out if the problem is the Keyspan serial extension or Palm 4.0. Oh yeah just to be clear, I'm talking about the final Palm app in OS X.

Anybody have any clues?

Make sure you have the latest Keyspan drivers for OS X (www.keyspan.com) and note that Palm says in the ReadMe "[the KeySpan USB adapter] must be plugged in at startup". (In some cases a complete shutdown/startup can make a difference, rather than just a restart.) The adapter should show up in Hotsync Manager so you can turn it on. (I noticed HotSync defaults to on for only Palm's adapter and USB connections. All others have to turned on by hand.)

Thanks Moof.

I found my problem was the the installation of the Palm Desktop. I had to trash any previous system files I had to get the installer to correctly install Palm Desktop.

Got it working now. It's really slow though.

Thanks for the response.

I am having the same problem, and I have installed both the final Palm Desktop 4.0 and the latest Keyspan software on a fresh installation of OS X (on a brand new hard drive). I can get the synchronizing to start, but then it immediately quits. Do I need to ditch my Keyspan adapter in favor of a Palm one?
