It appears to me that there is a problem hotsyncing Palm 4.0 with a Palm PDA and the USB to serial port adapter under OS X. I've tried most of the tips and tricks that users have listed here. I haven't had any success. Are there any sure fire fixes, updates, tips or tricks to help someone with this HotSync problem? Any tidbits would be helpful.

Hi there!
I'm using Palm Desktop 4.0 and OSX too, but I do not have problems hotsyncing!! If I happen to have troubles hotsyncing its under 9.2.2.! Strange enough!
I installed Palm Desktop under OSX, configured it and since then I'm using it without any problem on my iBook 500/384/10/Combo.
Good Luck, Samy

I had not been able to HotSync for about three weeks. Then, after updating to OS X 10.1.5, it mysteriously worked again. I don't know whether there is a causal connection, or not.
This is an issue that Palm really needs to address. Perhaps a post at the brighthand forums for Palm handhelds would generate higher visibility with Palm. After all, they sponsor that BBS.

I have 10.1.5 installed. I installed Palm 2.6 in classic this morning. Nothing. Is anyone using the PalmConnect USB Kit? I wonder if that's the issue. Maybe i have a defected adapter. This is crazy!

You've got me going in circles! Thanks for the reply but the problem was with my usb adapter. A new adapter has been ordered.
