The story about Palm demoing a beta of Palm system 5.0 (over on MacCentral, since our beloved MacNN seems to still be recovering from technical difficulties) mentions that the new OS adds support for 802.11b wireless technology.

Aside from the blurb I cant find any other info, but does this suggest you'd be able to sync via Airport? Just get email/get on the web?

At the very least it's interesting to think about...

You'd need network-based hotsync on the Mac side too. I can't imagine Palm adding that feature to their Mac sofware anytime soon, considering their track record.

They would need to do the software for hotsync as the previous post suggests. But email and web should work as I think they do already for the Xircom 802.11b module.

Sounds pretty cool.
