The remark by jsteinborn in the thread "<a href="http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=29;t=000828#000006" target="_blank">Any final fixes for HotSyncing in OS X</a>" gave me the idea to post this poll. Failures to HotSync a Palm-based handheld to a desktop computer are a constant topic in discussion forums such as these. A very common scenario is that from one attempt to the next the desktop ceases to respond to a HotSync request from the handheld. In my experience this is spontaneous and not provoked by any changes to hardware or software configuration on the desktop. The aforementioned post spurred me to see whether there is a correlation between these failures and the type of cradle/serial-to-USB adapter used. Please take a few seconds to respond to the question below.
