I just "upgraded" to Palm Desktop 4.0, and am ready to downgrade as I was not aware that AvantGo did not work with this version of the Palm Software.

Can anyone tell me if there is an alternative program to Avant Go. There are three websites that I am interested in keeping on my PDA, of which only one is updated daily, the other are static sites that I use for reference purposes.

I did a search an found a lot of people like me (that is disappointed), and a few have asked for avantgo alternatives, but I have not seen any info on such a product (if it even exists).

Peace,

O
B unce!

If all you're doing is using AvantGo to download websites, then I'd suggest checking out iSilo . I think it just recently was ported to OS X (haven't had a PDA in a few months so I am not totally sure). It's an excellent app though, especially for static web pages. I believe it also has functionality to work with more dynamic pages and download newer versions to your pda when you sync. It's a good app for a bunch of other document formats too, not just HTML.

You have to install the iSilo reader on your Palm as well. I believe it's also a download off the web site.
