I think the time has come for another foray into the handwriting recognition world for Apple. I'm thinking of a tablet PC running OS X with a small joystick type controller built in. (Scroll up/down, page forward/backward.) It should have a 10-12" screen, FireWire and wireless connectivity. Something you can use while lounging on the couch or in your bed to surf, read and write e-mails, jot notes, etc.

I'm not sure about those specs exactly, but I do think the time is right for Apple to consider entering the handheld market. Think about it...never before has the PDA craze been bigger. I wish I had a percentage (of the international population) to throw out regarding how many have PDA's of some sort. Of course, Palm and Windows CE pretty much dominate the market, but look what Apple has done to "marry" the UNIX and Mac users.
I know I'd ditch my Palm m505 for an Apple PDA in no time flat! I'd appreciate apps that would interconnect better; apps on both handheld and desktop/notebook would be better matched to sync and keep your life in order.
If you're like me and have hundreds of datebook and address entries and long for a better solutions such as the Microsoft-geared Documents to Go app, then an Apple PDA would be ideal. Even new PDA users, I would guess, could appreciate a friendlier and better implemented PDA.
Ok. Rant over. I just really want an Apple PDA. My actual guess, however...no Apple PDA in our future.
