prior to upgrading to Mac OS10 and Classic, i used to be able to hotsync with my Palm Vx, via the infrared port on my titanium powerbook. but now, i can't seem to hotsync anymore.

does anyone know how to ?

I think you need to use the Palm cradle now with a USB connection. I'm using Palm Desktop 4.0 with my Palm Vx and Mac OS X 10.1.5. I sync to my PowerMac, but a PowerBook should be the same.

I have not been able to use IrDa to do Hotsync under OS 10, not even under Classic. Tried Palm 4.0 recently, it did not work. Connection dropped every time. The only way works for me is to reboot back to OS 9 (with old version of Palm desktop). Apple even takes out IrDa port on new Ti DVI model. It seems that IrDa port will not get more support in the future. Get USB cradle if you want to sync under OS 10.

i did purchase the palm USB connect for the hotsync cradle that i have for the Palm Vx, and it still did not work with my powerbook. and for some reason, one day my powerbook rebooted into the OS 9.2, and i was able to hotsync in that OS system. i am not sure why it won't work with OS 10.1.5, but at least i was able to sync what i wanted to with the older OS.

maybe someday i need to get a more updated palm that syncs easily with my titanium???
