From time to time, I can't get HotSync to work until I shutdown and restart, and when I do, the system hangs for quite a while before shutting down. If I could identify the appropriate task in Process Viewer I would try killing and restarting it, but I haven't been able to identify it. Any thoughts? I'm running 10.1.4 and Palm Desktop 4.0.

Are you using and 3rd party conduits? Sometimes my hotsync quits, no error messages or anything, when I have quesync performing a sync (entourage conduit that sucks).
...just a thought.
