I've heard success stories about synching all of the treos except for the 90--which is what I have! D'oh. If anyone knows how to synch the 90 in X, it would make my day!

handspring has said that the treo 90 does not support MacOSX and i've heard that they don't plan on fixing it. i'd suggest you go check out some of the palm websites for more information. www.pdabuzz.com is pretty good. do a search on google for palm and you should get some good results

Look here: http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=29;t=000836

Handspring said in no uncertain terms that they will not be supporting OS X with the 90. What that means for future handspring's, one can only guess. The other current treos are all supported.

Get the "MissingSync" software. It will allow you to use the Treo 90 and OS X w/Palm Desktop X.

I got it to work! Here's what I did...

1. Install Desktop for OSX
2. Install Missing Sync
3. Delete the folder v.3.5.3 Update from the Palm OS Updates Folder
4. Make sure Classic is turned off

It works with the new Entourage conduits as well.

I did a search on VersionTracker and found a missing sync app but it claims this is for the Sony PDA's. Is this the correct software?

Yes. Sony-made Palms aren't OSX friendly out of the box, either.

Well there is a special Palm Desktop for Mac OS X on the handspring website. Go there and try it before anything else. I don't know about the Treo 90 but the 180 and 270 work perfectly, iSync and all. Fully supported also.

Over the last four years I've used Palm devices. I had the Palm V, Palm Vx and the original Handspring Visor Deluxe. While I enjoy the Palm OS I feel it pales in comparisson to the Pocket PC platform on my new Siemens SX56 phone. I would encourage new pda buyers to look at Pocket PC devices before committing to Palm, you may be surprised.

As for Handspring, well, I bought my unit directly from them. I had multiple technical difficulties and found their customer service to be lacking. That's the reason I sold their device and went to Palm. Palm's customer service was a *little* better but still under par in my experience. So far Siemens has been great and the device makes my old Palm devices look stupid.

Just my 2¢...

I sync them to my Pocket PC with Pocket Mac Pro. You could also use Active Sync ( the pocket PC answer to HotSync on a Palm ) with Virtual PC.
