What is the native coding language for the Newton OS? Is it based in C++ or GBBS Pro?

The native coding for Newton is NewtonScript, but as I dont know much about programming, I cant tell you much more about it.
I beleive you can also code in C++, but as I've heard, once you use learn NewtonScript, its hard going back to the primitive C.
Of course if you only need to make simple programs, you can use NS basic, which is a pretty powerful version of Basic.
