Palm posted the DRAM Issue test and patch for the IIIxe on their web site today. Previously, the test and fix were only available for the Vx and IIIc. I ran the test on my IIIxe tonight and downloaded the patch, installed it, all in the space of about 5 minutes. They talk about the test taking up to half an hour, but that's some major bull. In fact, I believe their entire test is bull and anyone who enters their serial number will get the same response I got: "We believe your Palm is affected and recommend you download and install the patch." But at only 4K to download and 10K installed, who cares? Go to http://www.palm.com/support/dram/

Same here. Not affected. But I've just noticed that the stylus slot on my IIIxe has cracked, just like on the IIIc's. Yeuck!

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.
