Does anyone have any experience with the Outlook synch that apparently comes standard on the new palms? (Including the older models that are still being sold).

For a long time I have wanted to synch my e-mail with Outlook, but it wasn't easy to do. Also, while OE 5.02 comes with the ability to synch with the Palm, its own directions say that it trumps syncing with Palm's own desktop. Thus, OE forces itself to become your contacts manager. However, it is my feeling that OE is far inferior to the Palm desktop in this category.

So, what does Palm's syncing software with Outlook do? Does it synch e-mail, contacts, etc., with OE as well as it's own Desktop? Or does it give you an either/ or choice?

I would be curious if anyone has any feedback in this area. Thanks.

Unfortunately, in order to sync your Palm with email, Outlook Express or other, you need to purchase an aftermarket conduit. I use MultiMail Conduit from Actual Software. http://www.actualsoft.com/
Sadly, we Mac users have to but this product when Wintel users get it for free as part of the basic Palmware package. Sucks, huh?
