Where might I go to get parts for a Newton 130. I need a battery (a few), a lid,a car adapter, and either a charging cradle or an AC adapter that can charge. Also, has anyone used and been happy with the uConnect(serial to USB adapter). Last, where would I be able to find a bunch of freeware?

Thanks a million,
Philip Katz

Well, there I know of a few places where you can get accessories. One is www.sunrem.com but I think they are out of battery covers (I checked for my old 130). Also, there is another place with lots of Newton stuff but I forget the name at the current time. Search for it with Sherlock or at some search engine.

For freeware, check Victor Rehorst's excellent Newton Cage at www.chuma.org/newton . A few other sites are www.planetnewton.com , www.unna.org , www.info-newt.com, and http://hometown.aol.com/thisolnewt/index2.html . These sites all have links, FAQ's, software, etc. All are excellent sites and should be checked out. I would also recommend joining the NewtonTalk mailing list at PlanetNewton. The volume of mail is pretty large, but the info you get on it is great.
