I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to figure out how to hotsync my Visor Delux with my PowerBook G3 for days. Infrared on the PowerBook works fine, and I can select it as my hotsync port on the computer. I know the IR port's doing something on the PowerBook, because after setting up Hotsync via IR, the Visor reports that it' recieving a communication over IR when visible to the PB.

But I don't see a way to make similar settings on the Visor. When I try to sync, the Visor cannot connect and eventually times out. It appears that it's still trying to connect via the cradle. What's the secret?

ok. i dont even know for certain whether or not a visor can sync via infrared or not, but on my palm (OS3.3) theres a little program/utility called "hotsync", on that screen theres a little box you can select for cradle hotsync or I/R hotsync. do you have at least os 3.3 on yr visor?

If you don't, there are files you can download from Palm that enable infrared syncing under OS 3.1. At the moment, I don't have a link to them, and I don't know for sure if they are compatible with Visor. Hopefully someone else can fill in the details.
