I think the subject is pretty self-explanatory. How do I Sync my Palm Vx via IrDA to my PowerBook (FireWire)?

On the palm, under the hotsync application, set the connection method to "IR to a PC" and under the mac Hotsync manager app, set the port to IR. Hit the big sync button on the palms screen and you should hotsync.

Here's something odd- on my Palm III I see the drop down menu in the the HotSync app that allows me to select IR. On a Palm V, I see no such menu. I defaults to cradle and I don't know how to change it. Anyone know?

I have a Palm V with PalmOS 3.3 and the menue is there. Maybe you should upgrade.

BUT!...my Serial port monitor crashes constantly, especially when I put my PowerBook to sleep. And the sync process completes successfully once every 3-4 tries (Left out when the serial port monitor crashes.).

Anyone else experienced this problem?
