what are the differences between version 3.1 and 3.5 of the PalmOS? Not that my Visor can be updated anyhow.

I hope they fixed the annoying discrepancy between the Palm desktop and the PalmOS where you could be reminded of a to do as early as you wanted, and still keep it with the day it was due on the desktop, but not see it until it was due on the PalmOS without seeing all future appointments.

Jeff,

I have a new m100 and the newest Palm Desktop, so I can test out your question, but you need to explain that Palm Desktop vs. Palm 3.5 difference to me again.

Thanks.

Okay, so you can make a to-do in Palm Desktop for a certain date, then set the remind me box to remind you a set number of days before.

If you set it to 7 days, then you will see the task in your daily to-do list a week ahead of time followed by a parenthetical note of when it is do.

However, when you sync with your Visor, the remind me characteristic is lost, and you never see the task until the day it is due.

You can still see it if you turn off Show Only Due Items, but then you have to wade through all of the future plans you've made for the rest of your life. Personally, I don't want to be bothered by tasks that I don't need to think about.

Like say I set two tasks for one day. One is unimportant; like Water Plants. Another is going to take some preparation: Take Bar Exam. There's no way to see one on the Visor without the other. Enh.

I'd really like to see tasks with multiple steps, too. But that's a bigger request, not just a discrepancy.

3.5 also supports color on color devices.
