Hi,

I guess I've been annoying some people around these boards lately, so I'm trying to cut back on posting. However, I have come across a question for which I would really appreciate some information.

My Palm IIIe died recently, taking some important information with it before I could back it up. This being my third Palm purchase in a row to end either in a hardware failure not covered by warranty or a return to the place of purchase, I've decided, rather than buying a fourth one, to take the plunge and buy a Newton 120/2.0.

<And now, the point:>
The Newton 120 doesn't include a stylus. I need to buy one. I have found some styli for sale for the 2x00 series and some for the original MessagePad. Are either of these compatible with the 120? If not, where can I get one that is? By "compatible," I mean that I would like one that fits in the "silo."

Thanks.

First of all, welcome to the Newton community! I think you'll find it very active, supportive, and friendly.

For the stylus, you need one that fits 120s and 130s. The OMP stylus is meant to fit on the side while the 120 stylus collapses and slides in on the top. The 2x00 styli are non-collapsable, too, and slide in a full-length slot. Look for a 120 or 130 stylus on eBay or check www.sunrem.com to see if they have any. They carry Newton parts. Good luck!
