Must be a bad link or something. I tried accessing this from This Old Newt and the link above and I got nothing. Has the alpa been pulled in anticipation of the release of a beta? I'd like to get my hands on this and some Waba compatible apps for my Newt.

The link works fine for me... But if all else fails just email me and ill email it to you.

Waba its insanely great! It runs each app in a little window which you can manipulate like a normal newtonscript app... (hide, move etc)
I can run 4 or 5 apps at a time and they all work just as fast... (even the animated programs which contiuously draw to the screen)
Im Very impressed by the operation of this Alpha, and I eagerly await a more optimized and usable version (with data input etc)

I already emailed them suggesting a beaming transport to beam waba apps from palm to newt and then running them... which turns out apperently May already be possible! (my palmie friend would turn keylime)

My greatest regards to Sean Luke and Steve Weyner for making this Awsesome peice of software!!

I still can't get the link to work. If you could email the package to me, sine, that would be great. My email is dechant@stolaf.edu.

Do you also know where I can get some Waba apps? Thanks in advance.

Thanks sine! Waba is wonderfully written, especially for an alpha. I would recommend that Newton owners try to get their hands on this.

BTW, I've got text input working well now, and some minor drawing speed improvements. Steve and I are working on allowing waba apps to have larger windows, and when I have the time (under the gun right now with other stuff) I'll get a little NewtonScript access library working for Waba, so you can put up NewtonScript widgets in Waba windows, not just Waba widgets. Paul Guyot and Victor Rehorst are looking into catalog, serial port, and socket access, though it may be a while before they get those done (I might preempt them and handle catalogs if it takes too much time).

Waba works great so far for one or two apps, but after that I get an error that says it ran out of Class Heap. I try to adjust this in the prefs but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions anyone?

You must adjust your class heap and turn off the "default" checkbox.
