It's a Palm licenced organiser, reviewed in MacUser (in the reviews section of www.macuser.co.uk ) recently, and looks impressive technically. A 240x320 (instead of 160x160) screen which works in portrait or landscape (you can turn it sideways and have a widescreen display). A 'soft' graffiti area which can be hidden to give the full screen display, SD and CompactFlash slots. The backlight doesn't reverse the screen to light the text, it lights the background and keeps the text black (easier to read). OK, it doesn't look much (like a silver Palm III) compared to a Visor Edge or an m500, but this is the one Palm OS PDA which has impressed me with what it can do. I don't have a Palm or PDA (many people say I need to get organised, so maybe I should have one!), but if I had the money to get one, I would, over a Palm or Visor.

Whether it supports Mac or not looks confusing to me, on the specifications page it lists 'PC Software' then in the minimum requirements it says 486 or Macintosh. Palm Desktop works with it though, and that is easily available, so it's no worse than any other Palm really. It's also new so the price should come down and the technology should spread to other models and manufacturers (Handspring came up with a memory card slot, now this and new Palm's have them, the same should happen with the higher res screen and the soft graffiti pad). If only it looked like a Visor Edge!

It's pretty cool. I like the idea of having CF access. The screen size isn't really all that imressive to me. Gotta wonder how many apps will take advantage of the extra screen space. $359 vs $399 for a Visor Edge ( $299 if you trade in your old Palm, Newton, or other PDA)
Basically the same features as the Edge, but bulky and with a jog-wheel, CF and SD slots vs Springboard.
It's just another Palm, so it has Mac support, but it's pretty ugly compared to that sweet Visor.
What has me interested lately is the Simputer.

The Simputer? I'll get one when I get an Xtrem Mac 1200. How big are your pockets anyway? It looks a bit on the chunky side to me.
