I'm interested in purchasing a Visor with an OmniSky modem. I have a few questions regarding the Internet access:

• How unbearable is the 19.2kbps data rate? Can you get anything done with it? Can anyone give me a rough approximation on the time it takes to load an average page?
• How do pages that weren't designed with PDAs in mind render? Does the software do a decent job of reformatting?
• Has anyone tried AIM for Palm OS? Does it work well?
• How about email support? Is the software good?
• Any other information/insight you can include is appreciated.

well, id imagine the modem is pretty good considering a big palm program is like 100k. i dont have experience with it however. i do know that people have said that the omnisky service isnt very reliable, very shaky depending on where you are. i dont know much else about it....anyone else?

I hate to link to other BBs but I don't feel like researching and reporting back, so head over to http://discussion.visorcentral.com and you should find plenty of answers. You could also find some Omnisky info on the BB at http://www.pdabuzz.com , but there is probably more Palm info than Visor.
