hi!
i've just tried turning on my newton... nothing. no matter whether plugged in or not, even tried different power outlets and different batteries. holding the power switch or resetting it shows no effect, nothing happens.

don't tell me that my newton died just hours after a friend crashed my car... please!

Did you hold the reset button for over 20 seconds, let say a minute or so, did you hold the reset button together with power slide (= total reset)?
Good luck (mine was send in to UK for repair, very expensive: about the price of a Palm V...)

Have you tried leaving the batts. out and no power for 12 hours? The MLB has to discharge to wakeup from a 'deep sleep'. Good luck!

seb2, no problem, the Newton's are a funny bunch, just like any computer produced. I've got stories that'll take years to tell(especially at my typing speed). LOL! Keep that beer cold for me, thank you.
