I fooled around with a HP Jounada 548 the other day and I have major PDA envy! That is some sharp color screen. How will the Palm m505 compare to that for sharpness and overall quallity? Not too well I expect. Bummer. With all that memory ( 32 MB) and room for cards like the 64 MB one my buddy had it seems like a sweet machine. Except that it runs WindowsCE. Can it run alternate OS's? Maybe mobile Linux? I sure wish Apple would make a new PDA and a mobile edition of OS X for it. Yeah, I'm dreaming, but its such a nice dream. Sshhh! Don't wake me up.

sounds like comparing apples and oranges.
microsoft handhelds are trying to be like mini laptops.

palm devices are handheld organizers, with the capability of running some extra applications and devices.

I played with the jornada and ipaq and they are nice. the color screen is great. but for the price, I would pay the additional 2-300 bucks for a low end lap top. ( you could get a brand new one for about $800compact, toshiba, and sometimes you could find HP and IBM)

palm and handspring are doing good. ( could you imagine if all the palm and handspring devices had the apple logo )afterall, those guys all came from apple. Marketing dept. and Engineers from handspring use macs.
At least at the Asylum, they treat me with respect.
