Is this possible?

Connect Palm to Mac via hotsync cable and then surf or retrieve email on Palm.

I have airport network, and I've tried with no success.

I mainly would like to download my email to the palm, keep only what I need and delete the rest, since it is on my desktop machine.

If not, I guess Multimail pro conduit is the only way minus a Modem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Microsoft Outlook and Entourage both have a Palm conduit that allows you to sync your contacts, email, and (only with Entourage) your calader with your palm. Other mail programs might also offer this feature, but I'm not sure.

Yes it is possible. I did this on MacOS 9 with remote access set up to accept a PPP connection. My Mac accepted the PPP connection from the Palm and gave it an IP and everything worked. I don't remember the details and it took a bit of fiddling with IP's etc.

Better of course would be

This enables the Palm to be connected to Airport directly.
