...on my visor deluxe. I know it's not my connection (I have a cable modem). i know it's not the USB port, the cradle has it's own 12 Mbps port. I upped the RAM allocation to 16 MB for the hotsync program, which sped everything up, but the sync was still slow. It would take 15 minutes to sync, when with version 3.3 it took 30 seconds top!

Any ideas? I'm downgrading to 3.3 as soon as I find a copy.

Yes I have found it pretty slow, too.I cleaned my cache. and dumped the msn channel (it was huge) That helped alittle, but I still find it very slow this week.
At least at the Asylum, they treat me with respect.

Make sure that the new version didn't alter your HotSync settings on your Visor. It did that to my Prism and I had to go in and reset my HotSync settings under the Connection Setup option. You should be using a 'USB to PC" connection (not "USB/Serial to PC" connection) which allows you to set a 230,400 bps HotSync speed.

well, downgrading to AvantGo 3.3 sped the AvantGo sync back up to it's usual snappiness. Go figure!
