suddenly Avantgo things I have no channels

I have been happily using Avantgo for a few years now most recently on a PB G4 with MacOS X running hot sync in classic. Suddenly today the Avantgo app on the Palm (IIIx with 3.3) says I have
succesfully installed the app and should select some channels or if I have some I should sync again. I sync again and again and nothing changes. I looked on the avantgo site and when this all began there was a file too large. I deleted that channel but still nothing changes. The log on the avantgo site now says sync was OK as does the log on the mac. I set Avantgo Connecto control panel to do a complete
resync but still nothing change.

So before I download and reinstall everything has anyone got any ideas ?
