I got my Palm M100 in early January. Since then, the stupid thing has crashed 4 times, loosing every last bit of everything. Each time it's happened, I've pulled it out of my bag, and it's either blank and unresponsive (requiring use of the reset hole), or inviting me to calibrate the stylus, set the time and date, ect.

It's always had plenty of battery, I don't use any funky overclockers or hacks, and my apps are pretty simple and common. Besides, every time this has happened, it should have been just sitting dormant waiting to be awakened.

Is this normal? I'm going to have to go back to a datebook, as I can't count on this stupid thing working when I need it to...

Thanks,
Yuri.

normal? not for me...
i've had a PalmIII for about two years and sure it's crashed a few times, but i've only suffered data loss once. (but i'd hotsync'd a few minutes before hand, lucky me...)
it could be faulty or it might be a 'feature' of the M100

Crash? I don't recall my Palm V ever crashing. What programs are you using?

Well, none anymore.

But nothing that my friends aren't using. The included datebook, calendar and notepad with conduits to Entourage, subhunt, AvantGo, Vindigo, a solitare game. Actually, being a 2meg M100, I often had to get rid of AvantGo or Vindigo, not enough RAM for both.

Maybe I should get a Visor... this 9600 baud sync stuff is for the birds.
