It depends on the website, but a lot of pages are hard-coded to be a certain width, so having your window fill the whole screen is kind of meaningless, especially if you have a widescreen display.

I guess dual screen + scaling is just a little too much for this computer on 720p H.264. A Core Duo iMac shouldn't have any problem with this though.
I love this setup! I may just have to copy your when I purchase my iMac.
I wanted to buy a monitor to go along with my iMac and the W2606C would be perfect for as it would serve as a TV and dual monitor.
Would you recommend this? Any problems with the setup? Is it easy to adjust to the huge screen? Should I just go ahead and buy an LCD screen instead of using the W2606C?
Any help would be appreciated!

What do you mean by identical in ratio?
This would be the fastest/cheaper way for me, but eventually I'm buying an HDTV. Should I buy a 20' or 24' monitor? Or should I just buy the HDTV and use it as a monitor?

what i meant about identical in ratio is that a 17" iMac connected to a 20" dell monitor is about identical in screen ratio when comparing it to a 20" iMac to a 24" dell monitor. of course the latter setup would give more pixels total. this make sense?

Upgraded to 1.5GB Apple RAM...got a Student Discount...Apple Store @ Yorkdale was somewhat of a pain...completeting the transaction...I got my sister an EXTRA 10% off...!!!
It was jokes when she ask me, "it didn't come with DVD-RW/ROM...how do I play/burn DVD's?" :hehehe: She didn't know the Slot Loading Super Drive
I have to admit I'm jealous and wish I could upgrade my Mac Mini

Ambilight has to be the most annoying "feature" on a display I have ever seen...

The dock is set to a very small size, but judging from the size of the keyboard in relation to the screen, I'll say it's a 17". Of course, I'm not very good at these things...
