Hi
Using Leopard and 2006 Quicken my HP photosmart printer will only print if i hit restart. The Apple Genius at the Apple store was stumped
and HP says its Photosmart printers don't work well with Intel based Macs. They said that for Tiger, Apple made the drivers work using rosetta
but that they have not done it for Leopard. A friend suggested if I buy Quicken 2007( said to work with Leopard) that this might make my HP printer print.
All this is mysterious..Anyone have a similar problem????

My HP all in one (1210v) works great with Leopard on my iBook and my friend's all in one works perfectly with her MacBook Pro.

I use an HP Laserjet 1012, 4300, and color 5500 with Leopard and they all work fine. The 1012 even through AP Express.
Have you tried setting up a brand new user account and seeing if printing works from there? Have you tried saving the print job as PDF first and then printing that from Preview.app? Does it make any difference?

HP Photosmart C6250 all-in-one. The drivers included with Leopard seem to work fine for printing, and the Intel-native (Universal) print/scan/copy software suite was available for download on HP's site. Works fine for me. However, some of HPs older printers may have some trouble if they've (HP) decided to drop Mac support for it.
I also have an HP LaserJet 1300 at work. I can print just fine with the drivers included in Leopard from both a PPC and an Intel based Mac. And after I used this printer for the first time, I got a notice from Software Update that a newer set of HP drivers (released after Leopard) was now available for download from Apple (via SU). Interesting, but the machine with just the C6250 on it doesn't give me this notice; driver must be newer.
