Hi!
I'm going to buy a cinema display with 1920x1200 resolution, and to use it with Mac Mini CD 1.86, 2gigs of ram and GMA950.
I'll be using leopard with apps like textmate, xcode, forklift, photoshop with small pictures, and still have safari, firefox, terminals, quicksilver, itunes running. I know that's not much . Oh a rarely I'll use iPhoto and CS3 to work with pics from camera.

And there is a question, will GMA950 from CD Mini work fine with 1920x1200 resolution? I read much about it, and people usually say thats there is no problem with it, but i want to know your opinion.

I was thinking about buying iMac, but in 1-1.5 year I'll replace this computer with new Macbook (i hope they will have better GPU or smth) and I better want to keep a big screen like 23" ACD I think, it's a good way, better then selling iMac after two years.
So, what do you think about this idea? WIll Mini work fine ?

Cheers, and sorry for my english

The GMA 950 will display 1920x1200 so it will work. The other question is of course how performance will be. Exposé with many open Windows could be sluggish. But OTOH the mini is the lowest end Mac so that's no big surprise. Most everyday tasks (web, mail, Office) should be ok.

Are you counting on video card upgrade? I think that way too, they should put a new GMA like this in Macboook into the new minis... But gosh, new mini with superdrive is still expensive...
