hi all. what does this error message mean and can i fix it myself, or do i need a new drive:

"The attempt to burn a disc failed. The device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media."

I attempted to use a 52x cd-r to burn an audio cd through itunes. do i need to use a different type of cd-r?
