I'm looking for either an iBook SE (466) or a Powerbook G3 Pismo (Firewire, 400, or 500 MHZ). I'm Looking to spend about a thousand, and Applecare or some kind of warranty would be nice. I basically want to run X, for multimedia purposes. Nothing intensive, just simple gaming and music. Email me @: tallestjedi@aol.com
thx,
Rich

You can get a 500MHz iBook for that kind of money. Even retailers like MicroCenter are selling them for $899. Check eBay as well. Sometimes there are some good deals there on older hardware.
Yeah, about those TPS reports, didn't you get the memo?

Yeah, what I meant to say by "looking to spend about a thousand" was I can spend "up to a thousand". I was really hoping for a 500mhz pismo with osX. Personally I prefer the pismo/wallstreet style over the iBooks, and the powerbook g4's are too expensive. (unless I have been looking in all the wrong places)
thanks

and you'd choke on the ibook 500's bus speed. the newer ibooks have faster buses, but definitely go for a pismo--it's performance will be better.

I have a lombard 333mhz:

Lombard 333mhz
512mb ram
4gb (original) hard drive
DVD-rom optical drive (DVD playback does not work in OS X with eh Apple DVD Player. VideoLan from Videolan.com works.)
Battery (in good condition, holds charge like new.)
UFO power supply (Apple sent me this as a replacement for the original black brick supply)

It runs 10.2 great!
