Since these are so rare and this board has been so helpful to me in the past, I wanted to offer a MacNN user the chance to grab this before trying on ebay (I can provide my seller handle on ebay so you can verify that I am a reputable seller via my feedback rating!).
I have a like-new mint condition 17" iMac for sale. It's about 2 weeks old, I wish I did not have to sell but a change in my work situation has forced me to do so. Yes, this has been opened, but this one is MINT - no dead pixels,, complete in box, all packaging (the manual package hasn't even been opened!)
I have also added an additional 256MB RAM taking this iMac to 512MB, and it also includes OS 10.2.
I'm not looking to turn a profit on this as many are on ebay. I know these are hard to find. I'm looking to get $2000 for this which INCLUDES SHIPPING AND INSURANCE. Compare that to $1999 plus the memory upgrade plus tax and shipping, and you've saved over $300. BTW - I also forgot to mention, if the potential buyer wants an additional applecare warranty, I certainly can purchase that for an additional fee (whatever applecare costs for the iMac, I think it's $149 but it'll be whatever Apple charges for it).
