Not entirely sure this is the right section of the forum to post this to but, I am trying to locate a PowerMac G4 450/500 Mhz Cube. I’ve looked in several places (http://www.ebay.com, and http://www.powermax.com) although I’ve found some on ebay the prices they are stating seem to be outrageous $1000.00 - $1400.00 that seems a bit excessive to me for older technology. If anyone happens to know a site that is selling refurbished or used Cubes for a decent price please post.

I don't have a cube, but I do know that they have a cult following, so those prices may not be totally out of line with actual demand. Cubes are really cool, I've been meaning to get one myself, but the prices are so high.... Check out the buy/sell forum, you could post a "wanted" thread there.

I regret not buying one when they were around. I assumed the cube would have been around a while longer.

#1) A Cube is not a PowerMac. A Cube is simply called a G4 Cube.

#2) Amazon is selling Cubes starting at $700. About 20 of them. I saw the page recently, I just don't have the URL saved anywhere. So, happy hunting!

#3) Cube's are still expensive because they have become collector's items. Everyone wanted one back then, but few could afford them. Now everyone is bargain hunting for them.

[EDIT]
Sorry, too late. I found the URL.

Ok, since they moved this thread to the Buy/Sell section.

I would like to restate I am currently looking for a Power Mac G4 Cube 450/500 I will take the stock options for the cube: ATI 128 PRO 16MB, 64MB ram, 20GB HDD, but I would like the DVD version rather than the CDRW version.

If anyone has a particular cube that matches these requirements, please post your asking price and any additional information on that item. (wear/tear, software included, etc.)
