Anyone happen to know if any online stores are still stocking the older model G4 733/867/933 single processor PowerMac units.

I've located several on E-Bay, but as you all know those are always overpriced. A few of the onlines stores I ran accross (MacMall, MacZone) seem to have them but turns out just to be cheaper to buy a dual 867.

Does that seem insane to anyone other than myself.

I'm in the same boat. I have looked all over and have not found anyone stocking those. I think the local Compusa had something on clearance and will go by to double-check. Online I found a G4/800mhz for $1294 at MacZone, but then add a $300 Superdrive and you are very close to the price of a new DP 867mhz machine and not far off the DP 867mhz with SD!

And yes the ones are Ebay appear to be overpriced. Even the DP 450's are going for $1200-1400 w/o SD's. If I come across anything, I'll post.

If you know someone that's a teacher or student you can order from Apple's Education store. A single processor 867 is $1257 (Quicksilver) or a dual processor 867 is $1597.

call your local apple retail store for display/demo models or refreshed models. I got a single cpu 867 G4 PowerMac with Superdrive and free 256Mb ram upgrade for $999 the night Jaguar came out.
