I have the following computer items for sale:

-G3 300 AV Tower (has AV ins and outs): with 320MB RAM, 8 Gig hard disk, Iomega Zip drive (with some free blank disks), dual monitor cards so you can run two monitors, a dual port USB card and Apple extended keyboard II and mouse. $400. OBO

-Umax Astra 1200s SCSI flatbed scanner : 8.5 x 14 30 bit color flatbed scanner. Works on PCs and Macs. $35. OBO, or buy the above computer and have the flatbed scanner for free!

Would like to sell to someone local to the SF Bay area who can pick up the machine.

I am interested in the machine you have listed. I want something simple to run OSX. $400 is a bit much, however. This link provides a look at a past eBay auction with a similar setup to yours

I'd be happy with paying $250. Unfortunately I live out on Long Island in New York, but I'm sure we could work something out.

Actually mine is a good deal compared to that eBay link. That one on eBay does not include 320MB of RAM like mine, nor does it have the dual monitor videocards or the USB card.

*128 RAM chips run about $30 each
*USB Card $25-$40
*And you didn't specify the brand or specs of that video card so for all anyone knows it could be a 4 meg card, which isn't worth much.

Based upon what a less system sells for here:

I think my price is quite reasonable since my system includes a lot more, yet I am asking much less.

OK you can ask away I just don't think anyone here on the board will pay that price. Its not that the aforementioned company can't ask that price because they can. Its that people here won't pay you that much. Just how it works around here.

You want that price met then the better choice is to go to ebay. Your odds are far FAR better. I think the bids around here won't top 300. But best of luck anyway.

rather than badmouth my offer publically, if you don't like my selling price, then go ahead and email me with an offer.

it is an OBO (which means or best offer) sale so anyone is free to contact me with inquiries and/or an offer. but to taint my listing with drivel is just plain unfair.
