I have an almost brand new Firewire enclosure for sale. I bought it with a internal DVD/RW drive and remove the drive from it and have not use it since then.

I added to it a DVD drive, it can be use as a protable Firewire HD.

For $40.00 plus shipping you will get:

Fire wire enclosure (Silver and clear)
DVD Drive installed on the enclosure
Firewire cable
Power supply

The enclosure alone runs for $130 at least.

1. can the drive run on power supplied by the firewire cable, or does it need the AC adapter plugged in?
