I have one. How much are you willing to pay? How does $175 sound?

seeing as Ati are offering the 8500 brand new for $199 and a $50 rebate if you send in ANY old video card, i'd say you are asking a bit too much.

A PC radeon 8500 will work in a mac, as long as you flash it properly and you get the right kind of 8500 for the PC. The proper cards can be found for about $80-$85. Check out the Powermac forums for all the info you need.

If you aren't comfortable flashing it, I wouldn't do it, but otherwise it works great. Mine is functioning perfectly.

Good luck and do some research!

You don't need a PC to flash it.

Since you've obviously been through this already, could you give us more details? Example - do you get the same functionality with a flashed Radeon 8500 vs the official Mac version 8500? Does everything work? Do the PC 8500s have the same ports (VGA, DVI, S-Video) as the Mac 8500s? Any problems with dual output, TV output, or DVI-ADC / DVI-VGA adapters? thanx.....joe

The cards are identical in every way. There is absolutely no physical difference between a 64 Meg non-LE PC radeon 8500 and a mac version.
