I'm looking for a cheap backup system to do my photoshop work on in case my powerbook goes bad for some reason. I don't really care about cosmetic damage. As long as the price reflects that. I would like it to be able to run photoshop 7. And, with a clean install. Simply put, a cheap working system.

powerbook 333 / 512mb ram / 4gb hd / dvd

runs OS X 10.2.1 and OS 9.x well.

Has good battery, and weight saver module. Also has the SVideo -> composite video cable.

$650 -ish

laptops, because they're more expensive than the equivalent desktop to begin with, retain a slightly higher price than equivalent Mac desktops even after depreciation. The same is true with people still paying that kind of price for pII and PIII laptops.
