But I'm curious to know how much this would bring. I travel a lot, so an iBook is in order. Here is what I got:

Dual 800 Pmac
1.2 gig ram
80 gig hd
superdrive
Radeon 8500 64mb (pc version flashed)
2 port USB 2.0 card
Apple Pro Mouse and Keyboard
OS X 10.1.5 and all software that originally came with the computer.

This is in prime shape. I have done minor modding to minimize fan noise. IE, placed a piece of electric tape over cpu fan duct, and cut out the extra metal fan guard behind the case fan guard. Those two mods really reduced the fan noise. What else can I saw. Bought it back in April. Zero problems.

Like I said, I will probably end up selling, but I am looking to see what this system is worth.

Hmm, I'd say four bucks. I have that right here...hold on...

Best place to look is eBay. Might not give you a *real* firm answer but you can at least see how much similar configurations are going for.

Well the only dual 800 on ebay has 256Mb less ram and doesn't have a superdrive. A comparative dual 867 at the Apple store is about 2000, course it is faster and new.

I just bought a dual 800 off Ebay:
1 gig Ram
40 gig stock drive
WD 120gig aftermarket drive, (not the special edition, just the 2mb cache one)
Superdrive
10.2 installed.
Internal Zip250
Internal Modem (Useless for me as I have broadband)
Photoshop 7 installed, and a few other nice programs
Paid just under 2 grand. ($1975.00)
I know, I could get a dual 867 much cheaper, but the 800's make less noise, and RAM was cheaper (512 meg stick for $40 off ebay brought it up to 1.5 gig Ram)
Plus with the HD and ZIP drive AND legit boxed copy of photoshop...

Wow that looks like a great deal. I was "HOPING" to get 1700 from mine. Do you get the real 10.2 disk? Or just installed? How much did you pay for shipping?

I paid $50 shipping, and had a UPS horror story, (Recapped below) And a Boxed copy of 10.2 jag came with it.
Here's an excerpt from the email I sent the guy that sold it to me....:
_--------------------------------------
Well, thought I should inform you that that computer arrived. The UPS guys gave me a heart attack. I picked it up on the way to work in the A.M. from the UPS office. The guy came out of the back to bring it to me, and instead of placing it down, DROPPED the box from waist high to the ground. (on purpose) When I said "What the ****" he replied, don't worry, it's insured. *******s.
Anyway, much to my added horror, I got home and opened it up to slap some extra RAM in it before I set it up. The hard drives were not screwed into the computer, so during the whole (guessing bumpy, from what I saw @ UPS), trip from you to me, they were slamming around inside the machine. They were mounted in the bracket, but the bracket was not screwed into the computer. Well, regardless everything seems to be OK now that I've been testing it (and the drives) all day.
-------------------------------------

I've been using the computer for awhile now, and everything seems to be ok. It was a little distressing to watch that happen though!
