Apple products cannot be returned. At least I've not found any retailer who accepts returns of opened Apple products.

aww that sucks. i had a ibook 700 and sold it one month later (this month) and got a 667mhz dvi tibook used, its wayyyyyyyyyy better than the ibook =]. The ibook made me almost give up on macs. whew..saved by a tibook

I know for a fact that when you buy products from Apple stores, you can return anytime within 10 days--no questions asked. They charge a restocking fee, which I think is 5% or 10%.

I realize this doesn't help you, but this information if probably relevant to many.
