that is a lot of money worth of software, probably worth more than the iBook. can i assume all of the software is illegal? (except that which is freeware or under the GPL). Whatever the case, I hope you are not figuring the value of this software into the price of the iBook.

Well I bought it with the software on it. I put the ROMS and BSD Windows Manager on there and that is about it. I don't consider the software into the price because I did not buy it.

then you'll be waiting for some time. no one will pay USD $900 for an old ibook and a bunch of pirated software when they can have a brand new one (and better, too) for $100 more and then pirate the software themselves for free (if they're into that).

I come back to you now, at the turn of the tide.

i don't think the price is unreasonable, seeing that the one for $100 more won't include dvd, and airport card or as much ram. perhaps $50-$100 high, but certainly not $250 high. Whatever the case, I don't think it is appropriate to criticize other's asking prices. It seems that ebay has been drawing the most money for iBooks, so you might consider checking there if you want > $850. A price formula i often use is <going rate on ebay - 15% = asking price>

the 15% takes care of the hassles in using ebay, including fees. Just a thought.

my price comments don't change the fact that this thing is full of warez, regardless of whether the sell got it that way or not. pirated is pirated, and I expected better from you all.

I come back to you now, at the turn of the tide.

Don't pay a penny for this iBook, you are likely to lose it. Jeremy Brownstein (TiMacLover) has scammed me and at least one other guy on the LEM swap-list. He is not an honest individual.

Please send me some proof of this via email or PM so that I can deal with it instead of posting unwarranted claims in a thread.

The reason I am selling this is to pay back the $400 I owe a man for a iMac I never got to send him. And to get the money to send the PEx tower I owe a man, some other small things I need to ship I will use the money towards. I have been screwed myself and will not do it to others, just it takes time for me to get on my feet. I totally understand banning me if you feel it is for the safety of the members of this forum.
